"PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE"

L'Erboristeria Tosetti

Ayurveda originates from the Ancient Vedic Civilisation. Practised in India for thousands of years, it is the oldest natural system for the care and well-being of the body and mind. In the early 1980s, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, in collaboration with leading Ayurvedic experts, restored Ayurveda to its original splendour, and this approach in its purest and most complete form is now known as "Maharishi Ayurveda."

For Psychophysical Well-being and Prevention

Discover Maharishi Ayurveda

Maharishi Ayurveda is a comprehensive system for psychophysical well-being that places particular emphasis on prevention. It mainly focuses on the preventive aspect, aiming to prevent diseases from arising, rather than simply treating them once they occur.

Every person should take care of their health, but the doctor must also take care of the disease. Visiting a doctor experienced in Maharishi Ayurveda is the best solution for prevention.

Thanks to the tradition of the Vaidya families, who have preserved and faithfully passed down the formulations of Ayurvedic preparations, Maharishi Ayurveda today is able to manufacture and offer preparations following meticulous and refined traditional methods, thus maintaining their purity and originality.

The fundamental principles: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha

For this reason, Maharishi Ayurveda Products was the first company in the world to be awarded the prestigious Ayush certification, granted by the Indian Government Department responsible for Ayurveda.

Each Ayurvedic formulation is a precise orchestration of plants, carefully designed to achieve a synergistic effect in accordance with the strict procedures outlined in the ancient Vedic texts. The individual plants are combined in specific proportions and pharmaceutical forms so that the overall benefit is greater than what would be achieved by taking the individual components separately.

Every individual is a unique and irreplaceable unit in nature, and the knowledge contained in the Ayurvedic texts explains "why." According to Ayurvedic philosophy, the many functions of the body, from the gross to the subtle, are governed by three fundamental principles known as the DOSHA: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Health and well-being, as well as disease and discomfort, depend on the balance or imbalance of the Dosha.

Balancing the Dosha

Each individual is born with a certain percentage of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and these are influenced by a myriad of factors: diet, sleep quality, daily routine, work, environment, seasons, stress, and all the influences we absorb day by day.

To rebalance the Dosha and restore them to their original proportions, certain measures can be followed that have qualities opposite to the influence that caused the imbalance: for example, Vata, which has qualities like dynamism, irregularity, and coldness, is rebalanced by rest, regularity, and warmth, such as a warm sesame oil massage; Pitta, which is hot, is pacified by coolness, avoiding spicy foods and alcohol; Kapha, which has qualities such as coldness and slowness, is balanced by warmth and stimulating flavours like spice, or by activity and physical exercise.

The Right Balance

To maintain the balance of the three Dosha long-term, Maharishi Ayurveda recommends an appropriate individual diet, a regular routine, rasayana, and specific Ayurvedic preparations, aromas, music therapy, physical and breathing exercises, and the practice of Transcendental Meditation, a mental technique, simple and effortless, for developing the full potential of the mind and body.
